Saudi Arabia’s Abdul Latif Jameel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uber Technologies, Inc. (Uber) to explore opportunities to develop a scalable, next-generation fleet operations platform.

The collaboration falls in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, driving socioeconomic growth in the Kingdom while cultivating more opportunities for Saudi nationals.

The MoU was signed by Hassan Jameel, Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, Saudi Arabia, and Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, and Acting President of the Transport General Authority (TGA) H.E. Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih.

The partnership aims to advance urban mobility across Saudi Arabia, including through the deployment of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs). Uber is paving the way towards an electric, shared, and autonomous future through its collaborations with 18 leading AV partners from around the world.

Saudi Arabia is advancing its urban transformation and the integration of AVs. Abdul Latif Jameel, in collaboration with Uber, will play a key role in accelerating the deployment of AVs, supporting local fleet operations. The collaboration aims to develop a scalable mobility fleet while creating 30,000 job opportunities for Saudi nationals.
