The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority (ADCDA) has introduced the Safety Patrol initiative across industrial, commercial, and residential areas throughout the emirate.
This Safety Patrol initiative aims to strengthen preventive safety awareness and improve the emergency preparedness of both individuals and institutions, in line with the UAE’s Year of Community.
Safety Patrol Initiative: Proactive Protection for All Facilities
The initiative conducts field visits to facilities throughout Abu Dhabi to promote safety awareness, assess site readiness, and provide preventive guidance. The Safety Patrol initiative also delivers training sessions that enhance both individual and institutional efficiency in applying safety requirements.
As part of its efforts to encourage compliance, the Safety Patrol awards safety certificates to facilities that meet prevention standards and issues observation cards for informal notices. The initiative also includes a safety voucher, offering discounts on safety equipment.
The Safety Patrol initiative offers an effective model that combines public awareness with preventive action, supporting the Abu Dhabi Government’s commitment to enhancing social resilience and safety and protecting lives, property, and quality of life for all.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority is a key governmental agency responsible for safeguarding lives and property in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It provides comprehensive emergency services, including firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency medical care, while also focusing on prevention, public safety, and community awareness.
According to the reports, ADCDA is the first organization in the MENA region to earn Accreditation Canada’s Diamond Ambulatory Care Accreditation and the first international recipient of the People-Centered Care Certification.
Furthermore, the authority has received several accolades, including the Business Analysis Excellence Award 2024 and a silver medal at the HR Excellence Awards 2024 in Singapore, recognizing its commitment to excellence in workforce development and service delivery.
