ADNEC Group, a Modon company, has secured ‘Best Energy Management Initiative’ award at the 9th Annual Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Awards.
The award recognizes its upcoming rooftop solar project, which aims to transform sustainable practices in the events and exhibitions industry.
Set to be installed at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the 5 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system will play a crucial role in ADNEC Group’s net zero program, which aims to reduce emissions by 50 percent by 2030 while reaching complete carbon net-zero emissions by 2045.
Once it begins operation, the cutting-edge system is expected to generate significant renewable energy onsite, minimizing the Group’s reliance on the electricity grid, while stabilizing energy costs and eliminating more than 6,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
