Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has expanded its comprehensive screening program, IFHAS, introducing a series of enhancements that reflect the evolving health needs of the emirate’s population.

The 2025 update emphasises accessibility, early detection, and holistic wellness, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s commitment to proactive, community-centered preventive care.

In expanding the program, ADPHC once again highlights the role of early detection in reducing the burden of disease, enabling early intervention, and supporting better health outcomes and quality of life, particularly in the case of chronic conditions and cancers. Through routine screenings, health issues can be identified at the earliest and most treatable stages, often before symptoms appear.

Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi
Director-General – ADPHC

“The IFHAS program is a key part of our public health strategy, empowering individuals to take charge of their wellbeing and placing them on the path towards healthy longevity, through early detection, smarter screening tools, and person-centered care. These updates are strategic enhancements that reflect the shifting health needs of our population and bring us closer to achieving a healthier Abu Dhabi. By adding tailored services, from mental and reproductive health screenings to non-invasive colorectal cancer tests, IFHAS continues our mission of proactive, person-centered prevention.”

The strategic enhancements reflect ADPHC’s continued mission to adapt healthcare services to the specific needs of Abu Dhabi’s society. By integrating evidence-based innovation with person-centered design, IFHAS delivers early, appropriate, and accessible screening services to every eligible resident.

According to the statement, the expansion of IFHAS aligns with the UAE’s broader healthcare strategy, which prioritises disease prevention, population health, and sustainable access to care. ADPHC plays a central role in realising this vision by implementing initiatives that reduce the long-term burden of disease and strengthen the healthcare ecosystem.
