AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (CIBE), a leading institution in Islamic banking and finance, has launched two specialized global virtual internship programs: one in Takaful and another in Islamic FinTech.
The newly launched internships, Virtual Internship on Takaful and Virtual Internship on Islamic FinTech as part of AlHuda CIBE’s strategic efforts to enhance professional development in the Islamic finance domain.
These initiatives aim to build global capacity and raise awareness in the fast evolving Islamic financial services sector. The organization brings over 18 years of experience in delivering education, advisory, training, and publishing services in Islamic banking across more than 50 countries.
The Virtual Internship on Takaful offers participants insights into the foundations, operational models, and international practices of the Islamic insurance industry. As Takaful continues to grow as a key pillar of the Islamic financial ecosystem, this internship offers a unique platform for participants to gain practical understanding of its relevance, applications, and opportunities.
Meanwhile, the Virtual Internship on Islamic FinTech focuses on how digital transformation is reshaping Islamic finance globally. The program explores the application of blockchain, smart contracts, Islamic digital banking, and other financial technologies aligned with Shariah principles. Participants will study regulatory developments and innovative business models driving FinTech’s role in the sector.
Both internships span a period of two months and offer a structured learning path that combines theoretical knowledge with practical exposure. Interns will undertake diverse assignments such as research writing, industry data analysis, awareness campaign planning, communication development, strategic networking, and promotion of AlHuda CIBE’s advisory, educational and capacity building services.
As per AlHuda CIBE, these virtual internships will not only strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills but will also contribute to the global Islamic finance industry by nurturing the next generation of competent professionals. The program also encourages peer to peer collaboration and interaction with industry experts.
In addition, Halal Research Council (HRC), a sister organization of AlHuda CIBE, has also conducted similar internship initiatives focused on the Halal industry. These programs support ethical, hygienic, and sustainable economic systems, further reflecting AlHuda CIBE’s broader vision for inclusive development through Islamic financial principles.
