Americana Restaurants International Plc, the leading quick-service and casual dining operator across the MENA region and Kazakhstan, has expanded to premium retail space by signing an exclusive franchise agreement with carpo, a leading lifestyle brand originated in Athens.
The deal provides Americana with exclusive rights to establish and operate carpo stores in Kuwait and Qatar. They also plan to expand across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in future.
The flagship stores are expected to launch by late 2025, which will mark its entry in the region’s luxury food retail sector. This move highlights Americana’s commitment to cultivating communities around the joy of food with a focus on quality, sustainability, and storytelling.

carpo, established in in 1991, stands out for its premium nuts, artisanal chocolates and refined coffee. The brand operates across Greece and the UK and has already established a strong presence in the UAE with the launch of its store in Dubai Mall in 2022. Building on this momentum, carpo brand is set to launch its next store at the prestigious Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi this autumn.
