Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG) has signed an agreement to supply premium window shade systems for Emirates’ latest Boeing 777 cabin upgrade program, enhancing comfort and cabin aesthetics of the airline.

The agreement, signed at the Dubai Airshow 2025, builds on a long-standing partnership with the airline and further reinforces ATG’s presence in Dubai as it supports the carrier’s wide-body fleet.

ATG has expanded its facility at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai South to meet the needs of the program.

The site, which was opened in 2024, has more than doubled in size to accommodate the growing demands of the Boeing 777 cabin upgrade program. It now plays a crucial role in managing the logistics, refurbishment, and assembly of ATG’s advanced electric window shades, ensuring the highest quality standards for Emirates’ fleet.

To further enhance efficiency and minimize lead times, ATG sources materials from across the UAE, keeping the supply chain strategically close to Emirates’ operations. This local sourcing not only strengthens the company’s ability to respond quickly to customer needs but also improves overall turnaround times for shade installations, ensuring that the airline’s fleet upgrades proceed without delay.

Commenting on the agreement, Mario Ceste, ATG CEO, said that the expansion of the Dubai facility delivers on the company’s strategy to keep production and support close to key customers.

Mario Ceste
CEO-ATG

“The recent expansion of our Dubai facility is delivering on our strategic vision for bringing the people to the work and keeping the source of supply close to the point of use. We value our role as key supplier to Emirates Airline and our strong partnership was a key factor in our decision to increase our presence and investment in the UAE.”

ATG supplies electric window shades across Emirates’ fleet, including the A380, Boeing 777, and A350 aircraft. Its aerBlade shades, already in service on the A350, are now featured throughout the cabin in all classes.

ATG develops electronically driven window shades and cabin components, with its latest electronics integrated into on-board maintenance systems, enabling performance monitoring and remote software updates without removing the shade from the aircraft.
