The Royal Medical Services has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, marking a key step in the integration of healthcare and civil aviation sectors of the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed, Technical Assistant to the Commander of the Royal Medical Services, and Khalid Hussain Taqi, Gulf Air Group Chairman, reflecting the commitment of both parties to constructive cooperation and national partnerships supporting Bahrain’s development.
The partnership between Gulf Air and Royal Medical Services has been designed to raise healthcare standards and elevate the quality of medical services across the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
As per the cooperation agreement, the staff and passengers of Gulf Air will be provided access to advanced medical services. The new emergency treatment protocols will ensure high readiness and rapid response in line with international healthcare standards.
Gulf Air highlighted the importance of this collaboration in enhancing passenger services, boosting competitiveness, and supporting the growth and sustainability of both aviation sector and national economy.
The partnership reflects the commitment of both Gulf Air and Royal Medical Services to enhance the safety of its staff and passengers, by improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
The Royal Medical Services comprises of several government hospitals, including the Military Hospital, King Hamad University Hospital, and specialized centers for cardiac, oncology, and kidney care.
The network operates as a unified health system, pooling resources and expertise to advance sustainable development goals and ensure the health and well-being of Bahrain’s citizens.
