The kingdom of Bahrain has won the prestigious title of “Leading Destination for Events and Celebrations” at the 16th edition of the WOW Awards Asia, held at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.
WOW Awards Asia 2025 celebrate outstanding accomplishments in the Experiential Marketing, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), Live Entertainment, and Wedding industries. The event brought together decision-makers and industry experts from Asia and beyond.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) participated as part of its commitment to promoting the Kingdom as a top destination for hosting Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
During its participation, BTEA showcased Bahrain’s unique tourism and cultural offerings, such as its advanced infrastructure, modern facilities, rich heritage sites and breathtaking natural landscapes, all of these make Bahrain a leading destination for hosting a wide range of events, particularly weddings.
In addition, the authority highlighted a selection of the Kingdom’s leading luxury hotels and resorts, which are known for their cutting-edge services and venues specifically designed for weddings and special occasions, such as Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and The Royal Saray Resort.
Dr. Ali Foulad, Tourism Advisor to the BTEA, commended that the award highlights Bahrain’s regional leadership and supports its strategic goal of emerging as a key hub for events, backed by strong infrastructure and distinctive venues.
The event also included workshops, a hackathon and networking opportunities – serving as a platform for industry professionals to connect, gain valuable insights and drive growth in their businesses.
