Bahrain, the United States, and the United Kingdom have signed the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), marking a major step toward enhancing regional security, economic cooperation, and international partnerships in the Middle East.

The signing took place during the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, to the United States.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Bahrain by Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador to the United States; for the US by Maura Namdar, Senior Official at the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the US Department of State; and for the UK by Lucy Ferguson, Minister Counsellor for Foreign Policy, Security, and Development at the British Embassy in Washington DC.

Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid highlighted that the C-SIPA agreement establishes a solid foundation for advancing security cooperation and fostering prosperity across the Middle East. He noted the agreement reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and former US President Donald Trump, aiming to achieve lasting peace, development, and cooperation across the region.

The ambassador praised HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad’s leadership and continued efforts to deepen Bahrain US relations. He underscored the Crown Prince’s strategic commitment to a partnership that advances mutual interests and promotes regional stability and prosperity.

Welcoming the UK’s formal accession to the agreement, Shaikh Abdullah described it as a significant milestone in strengthening regional and international security frameworks. He emphasized that the trilateral cooperation between Bahrain, the US, and the UK reflects shared values and a joint commitment to maintaining peace and stability.

The ambassador noted that the C-SIPA framework shifts from a bilateral to a multilateral model, opening the door for other like-minded countries to join. He stated that this inclusive approach enhances collective deterrence against external threats and fosters deeper collaboration in fields such as trade, science, and technology.

The trilateral signing of the agreement underscores a shared resolve among Bahrain, the United States, and the United Kingdom to advance regional goals through diplomatic collaboration, economic development, and enhanced security cooperation, in line with the evolving regional landscape.
