The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has collaborated with JPMorgan, a leading financial institution, aimed at supporting national talent at the Global Technology Centre in Bahrain, which will generate 200 high-quality jobs in information technology field.

The collaboration agreement was signed by Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, the Chief Executive of Tamkeen and Abdulla Al Janahi, the General Manager of JPMorgan in Bahrain. A meeting was held on the sidelines of agreement signing, attended by Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tamkeen and Daniel Pinto, President of JPMorgan.

The agreement highlights the role of strategic partnerships in fostering innovation and digital transformation in the Kingdom. The meeting explored the latest developments in the financial services and information technology sectors, stressing the importance of nurturing national talent in line with labor market needs.

The JPMorgan center is set to emerge as the most advanced center in the region, aiming to generate 200 high-quality jobs across various fields such as software engineering, information technology management, project management, and data analysis.

All employees at the center will be provided with specialized training, and a number of them will get the chance to join JPMorgan in the United States and India as part of the Global Practical Training Programme, ensuring alignment of local talent skills with international standards.

This cooperation highlights Tamkeen’s commitment to supporting the financial services and information technology sectors by offering high-quality job opportunities for local professionals while enabling them to gain practical experience with leading global companies.

JPMorgan’s decision to launch the center in Bahrain highlights its confidence in the Kingdom’s thriving business environment, the availability of qualified national talent, its growth-oriented regulatory framework, and continuous government support.
