CQR, a cybersecurity firm specializing in operational technology (OT), has officially launched FENNEC, a next-generation cybersecurity platform designed to protect the industrial backbone of Saudi Arabia and other critical infrastructure in the region.

Developed locally by CQR and in line with national regulations, FENNEC is the first platform to seamlessly integrate full-stack OT visibility with built-in AI monitoring, offering asset owners a reduction of up to 90 percent in compliance efforts.

As traditional IT tools struggle to secure legacy infrastructure, FENNEC provides a Saudi-engineered, end-to-end solution specifically designed for complex OT environments, ranging from oil and gas fields to water utilities and manufacturing plants.

According to the statement, it integrates compliance automation, real-time threat detection, protocol-aware monitoring, and risk management into a single, modular system, shifting industrial cybersecurity from a reactive posture to an active defense.

Supporting Compliance with National and International Standards

FENNEC is designed with local and international standards compliance at its core. The platform natively supports NCA OTCC, Aramco’s SAEP-99, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001 frameworks.

With bilingual audit reporting, automated evidence collection, and pre-configured policy templates, industrial operators can easily comply with national security regulations without the typical manual workload. From day one, asset owners gain full visibility into compliance gaps across all zones and assets, even at scale.

CQR’s FENNEC: Designed for OT and IoT Infrastructure

Unlike IT-centric monitoring systems, FENNEC was designed for OT and IOT infrastructure. Discovering and reporting vulnerabilities in software and firmware that lead to previously unidentified risks.

This embedded architecture also enables zero-trust enforcement and micro-segmentation without additional hardware or production downtime, delivering critical security outcomes without disrupting operations, as per the statement.
