Qatar’s Civil Services and Government Development Bureau (CSGDB), represented by the Institute of Public Administration, has unveiled the second edition of the Qiyadat (Leadership) program, to nurture the leadership skills of assistant undersecretaries in government entities.

Launched in collaboration with the Qatar Leadership Center and Duke Corporate Education, the program is designed to drive institutional transformation within the public sector.

HE Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council, stated that ‘Qiyadat’ program highlights Qatar’s commitment to developing well-equipped government leaders who are capable of keeping pace with change and supporting sustainable development.

The President also emphasized the success of the program’s inaugural edition and the positive impact it had on the performance of participating entities.

While delivering an introductory presentation, Dr. Fadi Hisham, a representative of Duke Corporate Education, highlighted the key features of the program and the institution’s role in designing academic content and training tracks in accordance with global best practices in public sector leadership.

After the presentation, the first training session was held. As part of the program, a learning trip to Estonia will be conducted from August 25 to 29, providing participants with an opportunity to explore global experiences in digital transformation, governance, and entrepreneurship, as well as learning about mechanisms for cooperation between government entities and civil society in enhancing public services.
