The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has unveiled The Plaza at Uptown Dubai, a 21,000-square-meter open-air venue designed to strengthen the district’s capacity to host major international events.
Designed to accommodate up to 4,000 guests, The Plaza will serve as a platform for corporate gatherings, international conferences, concerts, and large-scale public events.
The addition significantly expands Uptown Dubai’s event infrastructure, supporting both business-driven programming and community engagement initiatives.
Strategic integration at the heart of the district
Positioned centrally within the development, the venue provides a direct connection between Uptown Tower and the surrounding commercial and residential assets, strengthening cohesion across the mixed-use district. The opening marks a key milestone in the continued execution of the Uptown Dubai master plan.
Equipped with advanced staging, lighting, and digital display technologies, The Plaza is structured to facilitate year-round programming and efficient event operations.
Its infrastructure is tailored to meet the operational needs of global industries across trade, finance, and technology, further reinforcing Dubai’s role as an international convening hub.

Expansion phase gains momentum
The launch coincides with the next phase of development at Uptown Dubai. Two commercial towers, rising 23 and 17 storeys, are currently under construction and will introduce an additional 62,000 square meters of Grade A commercial and retail space.
Upon full completion, the district will deliver a total gross floor area of 538,000 square meters, including 232,000 square meters dedicated to premium office space.
As construction progresses, Uptown Dubai continues to evolve as an integrated urban district designed to drive long-term business performance, attract global talent, and strengthen Dubai’s standing as a global center for trade, innovation, and investment.
