Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has launched its new digital platform Dubai+, marking a strategic step in advancing its digital transformation and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading regional and global hub for content creation.
Launched under the directives of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, Dubai+ is set to redefine digital content in Dubai and the wider Middle East.
The Dubai+ digital platform strengthens the presence of Emirati and Arab content while delivering it to the highest production standards, reflecting a commitment to innovation, evolution, and relevance.
The platform also provides an empowering digital environment for nurturing regional media talent and creatives, supporting local production, launching new initiatives, and expanding strategic partnerships across multiple markets to help Arab content reach wider global audiences with greater impact and visibility.
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by HE Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, HE Mohamed AlMulla, CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated, along with senior media leaders, regional media representatives, and industry influencers.

“Dubai+ reflects the emirate’s ambitious vision to keep pace with global shifts in media and digital broadcasting. We seek to enhance Dubai’s competitiveness as a regional and global hub for creativity and media production by strengthening the industry ecosystem. These efforts include encouraging greater private-sector participation and building advanced storytelling capabilities aligned with Dubai’s future vision, along with raising operational performance, driving innovation, expanding audience impact, investing in talent and skills development, and leveraging technology and advanced production capabilities to catalyze the sector’s growth.”

The CEO noted that Dubai+ marks a key milestone in the platform’s evolution, with future phases set to expand content and deepen audience engagement, positioning it as a leading digital destination for Arab audiences.
HE AlMulla added that the platform is the result of intensive technical and creative development, supported by advanced digital infrastructure and rigorous testing to deliver performance and user experience on par with global platforms.

Salem Balyouha, CEO of Media Content at Dubai Media Incorporated, said that Dubai+ marks a new chapter in Dubai Media’s digital evolution, strengthening the region’s broadcasting and video-on-demand landscape. He highlighted that family safety is central to the platform, underpinned by clear content standards, robust classification, and transparent viewing controls.
Balyouha added that Dubai+ launches with a strong content slate, including exclusive films and series, original productions, live TV channels, major events, and sports coverage, featuring over 20 exclusive series, six originals, more than 170 international titles, and 12 live championships.
