The launch of the Dubai Auto Market development project has been held to develop it into the world’s largest and most advanced automotive hub, an initiative witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

The Dubai Auto Market development project, following the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, which is set to cover an area of 22 million square feet, is being developed by DP World, which was chosen considering its extensive logistics expertise and its global network that ensures exceptional access and connectivity.

HH Sheikh Maktoum also witnessed the unveiling of the Dubai Auto Market development project’s visual brand identity.

The launch event, held at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, was attended by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation; Dr. Abdullah Busenad, Director-General of Dubai Customs; alongside a host of senior officials from DP World and other government entities.

Investors and industry professionals can register their interest and learn more about DP World’s plans for the Dubai Auto Market, a new hub set to transform automotive trade and strengthen Dubai’s global position in the sector. Designed with exhibition areas and specialized event zones, the facility will serve as a key destination for automotive traders and enthusiasts worldwide.

Dubai Auto Market: Advanced facilities and capacity 

Once ready, the Dubai Auto Market will feature over 1,500 showrooms, clustered workshop zones, warehouses and multi-storey car parking facilities, along with a convention center, hotel, an auction house, besides F&B and retail areas. The facility is designed to handle more than 800,000 vehicles annually, making it one of the world’s largest and most advanced trade hubs of its kind.

The market will streamline trade in new, used, electric, hybrid and conventional vehicles, linking key exporting nations with growing demand across Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. With integrated facilities including customs, accommodation and entertainment, it aims to become a comprehensive base for investors and traders.

Building on Dubai’s strong automotive trading ecosystem centered around Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), which hosts over 940 companies including Ford, Honda, Hyundai and Volkswagen, the Dubai Auto Market development project strengthens the emirate’s status as the Gulf’s automotive leader.
