The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has held the Aviation Safety Consultative Conference (ASCC) 2025 at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai.
The conference revolved around the theme of “Regulatory Innovation and Operational Excellence.” The event gathered key aviation stakeholders in the UAE, providing a thriving platform to share valuable insights, strategies and regulatory updates, aimed at cultivating a proactive safely culture in the aviation industry, contributing to the goals of the UAE Vision 2031.

The conference made crucial announcements such as the landmark release of (Safety Decision 2025-01), which is designed to tackle fatigue management in the aviation maintenance environment.
Key topics covered by the agenda include: EVTOL operations, AI-powered compliance systems, weather resilience, emergency preparedness, Acceptable Level of Safety Performance (ALoSP), and Flight and Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) variations.
The conference also provided participants with important updates on aircrew licensing, training oversight, non-technical competencies, and passenger behavior management, in addition to enhancements in CAR-AIR OPS regulations and e-service platforms.
Furthermore, the conference included a call to action for industry-wide participation in the upcoming Safety Marathon 2025. ASCC 2025 reinforced the country’s commitment to innovation-led oversight, fostering a proactive safety culture while driving sustainable growth in the industry.
