The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has secured seven prestigious awards at the 2025 Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards.

This remarkable achievement highlights GCAA’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership, fueling the growth and development of the aviation sector in the region.

Established in 2002, the Stevie Awards are the world’s premier business awards. They honor and celebrate the outstanding performance and positive contributions of global organizations and professionals from around the world.

The Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards, sponsored by the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, celebrate innovative excellence in organizations spanning 18 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

With over 1,100 entries from various sectors, this year’s awards edition saw fierce competition. This underscores the high level of competitiveness, further solidifying the significance of GCAA’s achievements.

The seven prestigious awards comprise four Gold and three Silver awards. Gold Awards include Most Innovative Sustainability Leader of the Year (awarded to Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi); Innovative Management in Government (100+ Employees); Innovation in Media Relations, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, & Public Relations; and Most Innovative Technology Team of the Year.

The Silver Awards include the Thought Leader of the Year (awarded to Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi); Most Innovative Corporate Sustainability Programme; and Outstanding Individual Contribution to Sustainability (awarded to Maryam Al Balooshi).

The General Civil Aviation Authority, launched in 1996 by Federal Cabinet Decree (Law 4), is committed to fostering a robust aviation sector in the UAE by regulating civil aviation, providing specialized services, and prioritizing safety and security.

Recently, GCAA has launched the region’s first digital platform to implement ‘CORSIA’, which highlights its dedication to mitigating aviation’s carbon footprint.
