GE Aerospace and the Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC) have signed three new agreements aimed at strengthening operational readiness for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) F110 fleet and expanding in-country sustainment capabilities.

The two companies signed the agreements during the World Defense Show in Riyadh, initiating Phase 3 of their long-term collaboration. Building on the success of earlier phases, which focused on repair and overhaul support, the new deals concentrate on the RSAF’s F110-129 engines and will also extend support to F110-129 operators across the wider region.

The agreements are designed to ensure consistent material supply and comprehensive maintenance and overhaul services under the RSAF’s F110 Engine Structural Integrity Program (ENSIP). Together, the companies aim to enhance aircraft safety, efficiency, and mission readiness across the Middle East.

“These agreements represent the next phase of our strategic partnership with GE Aerospace and a major step forward in enhancing readiness for the RSAF F110 fleet. Together, we are expanding in-Kingdom F110-129 sustainment capabilities, ensuring long-term material availability, and delivering the high standards of safety and performance required by our customers in the Kingdom and across the region. This milestone also strengthens localization efforts in support of Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to national industrial development and building sovereign aerospace sustainment capabilities.”

Salim Mousallam, Vice President for Defense and Systems for the Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye at GE Aerospace, remarked that the enduring partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening local capabilities and maximizing engine availability. He noted that the agreements will significantly increase engine availability, streamline maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes, and directly support the RSAF’s critical missions, while reducing service disruptions for the F110 fleet.

Under the F110-129 Material Support Agreement, GE Aerospace will supply essential ENSIP kits and engine parts to enable MEPC to carry out overhauls within the Kingdom. A dedicated repair and overhaul agreement further formalizes comprehensive MRO support for the RSAF fleet. A separate services agreement extends similar capabilities to other F110 customers across the region.

Over more than a decade of collaboration, GE Aerospace and MEPC have established in-Kingdom repair and overhaul capabilities for the F110-129 and T700 engines. More broadly, GE Aerospace has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s aerospace and defense sector for over 40 years, supporting Vision 2030 through technology transfer, talent development, and capability building.
