Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) has been honored with the Best Pavilion Award at the 2025 Esri User Conference, held in San Diego, United States.
Esri User Conference is a flagship GIS (Geographic Information System) conference, gathering GIS professionals, experts and thought leaders from around the world. This year, the event revolved around the theme “GIS – Integrating Everything, Everywhere.”
GEOSA secured the prestigious award for the excellence of its pavilion, which showcased the most ambitious directions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The themes and pillars highlighted Saudi Arabia’s historical depth, investment strength, and strategic geography, as well as the most prominent national development projects that focus on driving rapid and sustainable transformation in the region.
The pavilion presented the Kingdom’s efforts in national geospatial infrastructure, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, to enhance the impact of geospatial information in supporting and empowering various development sectors and fields, thereby contributing to achieving national targets.
Furthermore, the pavilion showcased the Kingdom’s experience in managing national geospatial data and preparing its policies, standards, and specifications in accordance with international best practices.
GEOSA is a government entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is responsible for regulating, developing, supervising, and monitoring the surveying, geospatial information, and imaging sector within the Kingdom. The entity is committed to driving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting initiatives that focus on urban planning, infrastructure development, environmental protection and economic growth.
