HITEK AI, part of the Farnek Group and a leader in AI-driven solutions in the Middle East, has launched a new ‘Robot-as-a-Service’ (RaaS) offering in partnership with SoftBank Robotics UK, bringing advanced robotic cleaning technology and smart facilities management together in one integrated solution.

This innovative combines SoftBank’s advanced robotic cleaning technologies with HITEK AI’s CAFMTEK platform, delivering a comprehensive, automated facilities management (FM) solution. Designed to boost efficiency, lower operational costs, and improve performance, the solution is tailored for businesses across various industries.

The new solution targets businesses in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, providing access to cutting-edge robotic technologies that integrate seamlessly with existing FM operations. Through this strategic partnership, HITEK AI merges SoftBank Robotics’ state-of-the-art robots with its CAFMTEK platform to offer a unified service encompassing robotic automation and traditional FM, managed through a single, intuitive interface.

SoftBank Robotics will provide two types of cleaning robots for the Robot-as-a-Service initiative.

The first named Whiz is a commercial, collaborative vacuum robot powered by BrainOS, the advanced commercial operating system from robotics leader Brain Corp. It intelligently navigates the environment, can operate continuously for up to three hours, and covers up to 1,500 sqm. It also features sensors for obstacle detection, fall prevention, and anomaly impact detection.

The second robot, Phantas, is a multi-functional cleaning solution that supports human teams by vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, and dust mopping, with a capacity of up to 5,000 sqm per hour, improving speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Once integrated with HITEK AI’s CAFMTEK platform, facility managers can schedule and monitor both routine and ad-hoc cleaning tasks performed by the robots. Each robot is activated at new project sites with a unique ID and mapped to specific facility zones and locations.

Using CAFMTEK, an AI-Powered software for smart facilities management, clients can track metrics such as square meters cleaned, ensuring high cleanliness standards with minimal human intervention. The robots can also manage maintenance tasks like water replenishment and dust bag replacement, minimizing disruption and enhancing efficiency.

Integrated with CAFMTEK’s analytics dashboard, the robots send real-time data on cleaning performance, including task completion times, battery status, and maintenance requirements. Facility managers can use this data to monitor performance, identify issues, and make informed, data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and maintenance scheduling. The system can automatically generate service requests when robots require assistance, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.

CAFMTEK also tracks robot service performance, including uptime, task completion rates, and maintenance needs. This enables facility managers to oversee robotic and traditional assets within the same platform, ensuring all resources operate at peak efficiency. Performance data is accessible via both CAFMTEK’s mobile app and web platform, providing real-time insights for facility teams.
