Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s leading low-cost carrier, has became the first Kuwaiti airline to introduce deema, Kuwait’s first licensed ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ (BNPL) payment solution, offering travelers a convenient and modern way to manage their flight payments.
This launch marks the fastest ever airline integration with deema, showcasing Jazeera Airways’ commitment to innovation as part of its broader digital transformation strategy. The initiative provides passengers with unprecedented financial flexibility by allowing them to pay for their flights in multiple interest-free installments, making air travel more accessible to a wider range of customers.
Seamlessly integrated into the airline’s digital booking journey, deema enables customers to split the cost of their flights into two to four manageable installments, depending on their preference.
deema also includes instant eligibility checks at checkout, ensuring a smooth and friction-free payment experience for value-conscious travelers who seek convenience without added costs or delays.
Currently, deema supports transactions in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD). While passengers benefit from the flexibility of deferred payments, the system guarantees that merchants receive the full booking value upfront, as deema manages the entire end-to-end customer collection process. This ensures both security for businesses and convenience for customers.
The launch of deema is a key milestone in Jazeera Airways’ broader digital ecosystem strategy, demonstrating how the airline combines speed of execution with local fintech expertise. By partnering with a homegrown powerhouse like deema, Jazeera reinforces its position as a trailblazer in digital innovation within the Kuwaiti aviation sector, setting a new standard for passenger-centric financial solutions.
