The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has added CMA CGM’s Jebel Ali Middle East Express 2 (JMX2) shipping service at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, enhancing trade connectivity and supporting regional and international maritime operations.
This addition of Jebel Ali Middle East Express 2 service is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of Saudi ports on the global maritime transport map, facilitate the seamless flow of international trade, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Connecting King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with major regional hubs, including Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, Shuaiba Port in Kuwait, and Khalifa Bin Salman Port in Bahrain, Jebel Ali Middle East Express 2 offers a substantial capacity of up to 1,500 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) to efficiently handle growing cargo volumes and strengthen trade links across the region.
This inclusion of Jebel Ali Middle East Express 2 comes as part of Mawani’s continuous and comprehensive efforts to significantly improve the Kingdom’s ranking in global performance indicators, while simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
