Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), aimed at strengthening technical collaboration and expertise exchange in the civil aviation sector.
The MoC aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation. It covers areas of technical, administrative, regulatory, operational, and technological collaboration, in addition to enhancing aviation safety and security.
Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), said that the memorandum aims to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation in training, exchange of expertise, and modernization of operational systems. It also seeks to enhance aviation security and safety in line with international standards.
The Director General further added that the memorandum represents a new step towards strengthening integration between the two brotherly countries in the aviation sector, noting that the cooperation will help raise the efficiency of national cadres and keep pace with the latest technological developments in the field.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Duaij, President of the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, noted that the cooperation would support coordination in technical and training aspects and help achieve the two countries’ shared vision of advancing the aviation sector.
In the same context, a bilateral meeting was held during the signing ceremony to discuss issues of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
The visit comes as part of efforts to expand international cooperation and exchange knowledge and expertise in the civil aviation industry, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 to strengthen its position as a global hub for aviation and air transport.
