Media City Qatar has signed an agreement with the German Press Agency (dpa), a leading independent news agency, to establish an editorial hub in Doha, marking a key step forward in transforming the media landscape.
Operations are scheduled to commence in June 2025 and will continue for an initial period of five years. This partnership reinforces Qatar’s position as a leading media platform and strengthens news coverage across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
The new hub will expand dpa’s services, strengthen regional reporting, and contribute to its global coverage in Arabic, German, English, and Spanish. Beyond editorial operations, dpa will provide media entities and individuals with professional training, with a focus on nurturing Qatari talent.
With an diverse network spanning 137 locations, dpa offers fact-based, nonpartisan journalism to media organizations, government institutions, and corporate clients.
