Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), a premier telecom services company in Saudi Arabia, has renewed partnership with iBASIS, the leading provider of communications solutions, extending their multi-service IPX agreement for roaming services.
Mobily entered into collaboration with iBASIS in 2014. Since then, iBASIS has consistently offered cutting-edge mobile data solutions to Mobily such as economies of scale, cost stability, and dedicated service management—key factors driving Mobily’s sustained international traffic growth.
The new deal, revealed during Capacity Middle East 2025, builds on the enduring success of this collaboration, particularly in managing Mobily’s international traffic growth to handle a tenfold increase in mobile data traffic over the past three years.
This move will improve Mobily’s network scalability in managing significant traffic surges during peak demand periods, such as the Hajj, Ramadan, and tourism seasons, and showcase unparalleled reliability and robustness.
