The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has entered into a partnership with Bahrain Ministry of Youth Affairs to support the 14th edition of ‘Youth City 2030’, a flagship summer training initiative launched by the Ministry in cooperation with Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
The partnership seeks to enhance public-private collaboration, aligning with national efforts to empower youth and meet Bahrain’s evolving development needs.
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, described the collaboration with NBB as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to expand private sector cooperation to enhance the quality of youth empowerment opportunities.
The Minister also stated that the partnership highlights a shared commitment to youth empowerment, stressing that the bank’s support represents a valuable addition to its training outcomes and enhances its mission of preparing capable and competitive national talents.

The 14th edition of ‘Youth City 2030’ is currently taking place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. The event, set to run until August 31, revolves around the theme “Beyond Dreams”. It provides 5,500 training opportunities through more than 195 specialized programs across five fields: science and technology, arts and culture, leadership and entrepreneurship, media and entertainment, and sports and health.
As part of its commitment to digital innovation, the initiative has integrated AI into over 70 percent of the training content. Furthermore, the program includes over 150 recreational activities, aimed at promoting social engagement, teamwork and a positive setting for youth development.
