Dubai-based airline, flydubai has launched its inaugural direct service to Riga, the capital of Latvia, kicking off a three-times-weekly route between Dubai International (DXB) and Riga Airport (RIX).
The new flights are anticipated to increase tourism between the two countries and strengthen the growing economic ties between the UAE and Latvia, while also offering Latvian travelers enhanced access to Dubai’s global hub and its many onward connections.
Noora Juma, the Ambassador of the UAE to Latvia, said that this day marks a new phase in the friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Latvia.
The Ambassador further noted that, “The launch of UAE airline flydubai’s direct flights between Dubai and Riga will not only enhance connectivity between our countries but also open doors to more opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.”

flydubai’s Growing Presence in Europe
In addition to Riga, flydubai has launched nonstop services to Chișinău in Moldova, Iași in Romania, and Vilnius in Lithuania, further expanding its European network to 35 destinations across 20 countries.
