New Murabba, a Saudi Public Investment Fund company, has entered into a strategic agreement with Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ) to install, operate, and maintain electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across key assets within its flagship development.

The partnership advances the integration of sustainable transport solutions into the New Murabba masterplan, supporting Saudi Arabia’s sustainability ambitions under Vision 2030.

Integrated charging ecosystem

Under the partnership, both parties will deploy high-quality alternating current (AC) chargers at the New Murabba Headquarters, designed to support longer-duration parking scenarios such as workplace charging.

In parallel, direct current (DC) fast chargers will be installed at strategic locations throughout the development to accommodate high-traffic areas and enable rapid charging for operational efficiency.

AC chargers are typically suited for daily use in office and residential environments, offering convenient and steady charging during extended parking periods. DC fast chargers, by contrast, provide significantly higher power output, allowing vehicles to recharge in a fraction of the time.

Together, the installations will create a reliable and accessible charging network serving employees, visitors, and future residents, while laying the groundwork for broader electrified mobility integration across the destination.

The agreement also establishes a framework for continued collaboration on advanced mobility solutions, ensuring that EV infrastructure evolves in line with New Murabba’s phased delivery strategy and long-term sustainability objectives.

Mohammad Bakr Gazzaz, Chief Executive of EVIQ, stated that, “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building future-ready infrastructure that supports the Kingdom’s sustainability goals. By integrating EV charging solutions into New Murabba’s development from the outset, we are enabling smarter mobility experiences while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s long-term vision for electrification, innovation, and sustainable urban growth.”

Through this partnership, New Murabba strengthens its strategic positioning as a globally competitive, next-generation downtown that prioritizes sustainability, innovation, and integrated urban infrastructure.

The initiative also opens avenues for future mobility collaborations that support national green objectives and reinforce the Kingdom’s transition toward cleaner transport ecosystems.
