The National Housing Company (NHC) has signed an agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CACC) to implement the Rehab Al-Sadan project in Jeddah.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in NHC’s ongoing efforts to develop model residential communities that meet international standards.
Under the agreement, CACC will construct more than 1,400 residential units within the Rehab Al-Sadan project, which forms part of the larger Al-Sadan destination, one of the residential communities currently under development in Jeddah Governorate. The project is designed to cater to the needs of Saudi families and aligns with the Kingdom’s highest urban planning and development benchmarks.
According to the statement, the partnership reflects the broader Saudi-Chinese cooperation reinforced during Minister Al-Hogail’s recent visit to China, where multiple strategic agreements were signed, including a major plan to construct 20,000 housing units across the Kingdom. The agreements are intended to boost the real estate development sector and enhance housing supply.
Al-Sadan destination stands out as a comprehensive urban development spanning 4.2 million square meters. It includes integrated infrastructure and services such as mosques, schools, healthcare centres, sports clubs, and commercial facilities, along with half a million square meters of green spaces. The destination also features a network of safe pedestrian and bicycle paths, making it a vibrant and sustainable living environment.
The agreement aligns with NHC’s broader strategy to develop integrated urban communities that enhance quality of life and support the Housing Program objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which targets increasing the homeownership rate to 70 percent.
As per the statement, NHC is reinforcing its position as the region’s leading real estate developer by ensuring sustainable supply chains for building materials and expanding housing availability in line with global standards. This effort highlights its pivotal role in advancing national transformation through large-scale residential developments.
