The Saudi Arabian Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb has launched a trip along the Northern Trail guide from Riyadh to Hail as part of the Saudi Winter program, which aims to showcase tourism diversity across the Kingdom.

The Northern Trail guide trip began in Thadiq Governorate with visits to Ghamrah Tourist Village and the North Riyadh UNESCO Global Geopark, overseen by the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC). Al-Khateeb also toured Thadiq’s heritage village.

In Qassim Region, the itinerary included rural and agricultural tourism sites, including Al-Bustan in Buraidah and the Cultural Heritage Center in the region.

The trip concluded in Hail Region with a visit to Jabel Umm Sinman in Jubbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring rock inscriptions dating back more than 10,000 years. The itinerary also included hiking trails in the Aja Mountains, desert adventure experiences, Hatim Al Tai’s homes, Al-Didhan Reserve and tourism events at Al Adham.

Extending from Riyadh to Hail via Thadiq and Qassim, the Northern Trail guide offers visitors multiple destinations under the Saudi Winter program.

Running through the first quarter of 2026, the Saudi Winter program will be rolled out in multiple phases, featuring more than 1,200 tourism products and over 600 special offers across major destinations, including Riyadh, Diriyah, Jeddah, AlUla, the Red Sea, and the Eastern Region.

Additional highlights extend to Qassim, Hail, and Madinah, further showcasing the Kingdom’s rich natural, climatic, and cultural diversity. This breadth of offerings reflects Saudi Arabia’s rich natural, climatic, and cultural diversity.
