The Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has signed an agreement with Sorouh Al Qurum Real Estate Company to establish an integrated tourism complex project in Al Qurum area in the Wilayat of Bausher, Governorate of Muscat.

The project, which spans an approximate area of 165,000 square metres, will be developed at a total cost of $597.40 million (RO 230 million). The large-scale development will be implemented in carefully planned phases over a 15-year period to ensure sustainable growth and high-quality delivery standards.

Under the terms of the agreement, the project includes the construction of two 4-star hotels offering a combined capacity of more than 400 hotel units, designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers. In addition, the development will feature integrated recreational facilities, including a fully equipped indoor games hall, dedicated trampoline facilities, and a range of commercial outlets.

The master-planned project will also incorporate premium residential units available for freehold ownership, alongside landscaped public spaces and supporting infrastructure, creating a vibrant mixed-use destination that blends hospitality, entertainment, retail, and residential components within a single integrated community.

The agreement was signed by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Eng. Khaled Khudair Mashaan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Argan International Real Estate Company, acting as an authorized signatory on behalf of Sorouh Al Qurum Real Estate Company.

The agreement underscores the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism’s commitment to strengthening tourism infrastructure in a way that increases the sector’s contribution to the national economy. It also highlights the Ministry’s focus on promoting local content and creating long-term, sustainable employment opportunities.
