Qatar Chamber (QC) has unveiled its ‘2025-2030 strategy’, which focuses on resource sustainability and service development to drive digital transformation and economic growth.

Through new strategy, QC aims to cement Qatar’s position as a global strategic hub for the private sector, making it the top destination for doing business. The strategy’s mission is to promote and support the Qatari private sector both locally and internationally.

HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Chamber, highlighted that the strategy is developed on six objectives: Developing the business environment, supporting, and encouraging SMEs and entrepreneurs, transforming the Chamber into a global hub for communication and influence, advancing into a digital economy, establishing the Chamber’s positive image by improving performance, and achieving financial sustainability.

To fuel the growth of SMEs, the strategy aims to develop a specialized department for feasibility and market studies, establish an entrepreneurship development center in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and form a dedicated body within the Chamber to oversee innovation and SMEs.

It also includes the development of an innovation index in collaboration with a specialized consultancy and the launch of a platform to explore investment opportunities, featuring government investment projects, international investment prospects, and funding-seeking ventures.

Through this new strategy, QC is set to establish a thriving business landscape that attracts local and foreign investments by helping the government in enhancing the economy, reviewing business-related laws and regulations, strengthening the Chamber’s role as a link between the government and the private sector, as well as fostering public-private partnerships.

Moreover, the strategy aims to drive digital transformation by harnessing the potential of AI for daily operations within the Chamber. Furthermore, it seeks to launch a Qatari e-marketing platform, bridging the Arab world with global markets, and offering a reliable gateway to business, services, and consultations.

Through ‘2025-2030 strategy’, QC is set to expand and organize its database and information, collaborate with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to audit data when issuing commercial records, create a directory to classify companies by their type of activity, publish both electronic and printed directories, and hold virtual exhibitions featuring local and international companies.

The strategy includes leveraging its global network to create the largest electronic marketing platform for the Arab private sector, like Alibaba and Amazon. It also proposes the establishment of a company by the Chamber to transform the platform into a commercial project that generates revenue for the Chamber.

It includes reintroducing the idea of organizing an annual consultative meeting with HE the Prime Minister and ministers.

The strategy centers on enhancing the skills and competencies of workers in the Qatari private sector and organizing monthly meetings with business owners. It further aims to support and boost women’s participation by activating the role of the Qatari Businesswomen’s Forum.

Additionally, it adopts programs to support companies’ investments in training their employees and organizing field visits to companies and factories to identify challenges and propose solutions.

It also aims to expand the private sector’s engagement in activities of the ICC-Qatar, attract international companies to the Qatari market, host forums and meetings to strengthen communication between the local and international business community.

Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber will collaborate with embassies and commercial attaches abroad to develop commercial representation offices at the new Chamber headquarters in Lusail City.

This initiative aims to attract foreign investment to Qatar, enhance the business environment, foster Qatar’s investments abroad, and advance the digital economy.

The strategy also plans to elevate the Chamber’s performance. For this, they will employ skilled Qatari professionals, implement new strategy for the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA), expand the Research and Studies Department with additional expertise, and strengthen the Exhibitions Department to organize exhibitions and conferences.

Furthermore, it will center on developing the Training Department and establishing new divisions to facilitate the strategy’s implementation.
