Qatar Chamber has discussed on expanding cooperation with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), focusing on investment opportunities and strengthening economic ties between Qatar and China.
This came during a meeting between Ali Bu Sharabak Al Mansori, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, and Guo Hao, Deputy General Manager of ICBC in Qatar. The discussions centered on exploring prospects for deeper collaboration between the two entities, particularly in the private sector, and investigating the investment opportunities available in both nations.
The meeting with ICBC official also aimed at enhancing commercial relations between the two countries. Al Mansori praised the longstanding relationship between Qatar and China, highlighting China’s role as one of Qatar’s largest trading partners. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the private sectors of both nations, with a particular focus on industrial investments.
He affirmed that Qatar Chamber supports the establishment of genuine and solid partnerships between Qatari and Chinese companies. He invited Chinese firms to invest in Qatar, particularly in the industrial sector, and to benefit from the attractive investment climate, the advantages offered to foreign investors, the abundance of investment opportunities, and the country’s advanced infrastructure.
Guo Hao highlighted the pivotal role of ICBC in advancing Qatar-China business relations, noting that the bank is a key member of the Chinese Business Council in Qatar. He stressed the importance of collaborating with Qatar Chamber to attract Chinese investments and promote Qatar as a regional business hub, highlighting Qatar’s attractive and investor-friendly environment..
Guo Hao said that ICBC is the leading member of the Chinese Business Council in Qatar and is keen to strengthen cooperation with Qatar Chamber to advance trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Guo Hao also invited Qatar Chamber to participate in renowned and high-profile expos in China, and to encourage Qatari companies to showcase their products at these events, which would help increase the presence of Qatari products in the Chinese market.
