HE Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, has met with a delegation from the Philippine Ministry of Trade and Industry led by Bianca Pearl R Sykimte, Director of the Philippines Export Marketing Bureau.
The meeting was held in the presence of Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the State of Qatar, along with several businessmen from both countries.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen trade cooperation between the private sectors of both the nations, in addition to exploring available investment opportunities and incentives in both countries.
In his remarks, Qatar Chamber’s First Vice Chairman highlighted the strong and longstanding relations, noting that the Chamber considers the Philippines a key economic partner in Southeast Asia and praising the valuable contribution of the Filipino community to Qatar’s development.
He reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to deepening cooperation between the two business communities and expanding opportunities for joint investments that support mutual interests.
Al Kuwari urged Qatari and Filipino companies to explore partnerships and joint projects across various sectors, with a particular focus on food security and personal care products.
Bianca Pearl R. Sykimte delivered a presentation outlining investment opportunities, the Philippine business environment, and key food products targeted for the Qatari market.

Additionally, representatives from Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health provided an overview of the food hygiene sector and the country’s strict food safety verification procedures.
Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Qatar, commended the close ties between the two countries, expressing his country’s keenness to further strengthen cooperation across various fields. He also described Qatar as a gateway to the region and encouraged Qatari businessmen to invest in the Philippines.
