Msheireb Properties and The Business Year have announced the return of the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference, set to take place on 3 November at Barahat Msheireb in Doha.
Held under the theme ‘Driving GCC Entrepreneurial Growth’, the second edition of the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference will build on the momentum of its inaugural event held in January 2024. The conference aims to advance the Gulf region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while promoting regional collaboration among investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and business leaders.
By drawing a special emphasis on youth participation and emerging enterprises, the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference will explore the role of startups in shaping sustainable economic diversification across the GCC region.
Dr. Hafiz Ali Abdulla, Senior Director of Corporate Communication at Msheireb Properties, expressed his enthusiasm, noting that, “Following the success of January’s edition, we’re pleased to welcome the event back to Msheireb Downtown Doha. As the district continues to establish itself not only as a center for dialogue but also as a hub for business, culture, design, and technology, it offers a fitting setting for regional stakeholders to exchange ideas and shape future opportunities.”
He added that the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference has served as a meeting ground for investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to advance the GCC’s economic diversification goals. The upcoming edition in November will provide another opportunity to deepen these conversations and expand regional collaboration.
Vanessa Rameix, Regional Director at The Business Year, highlighted the growing importance of cross-sector partnerships in driving innovation, and said that, “While the world watches the GCC’s economic transition, real change happens when boardrooms meet government offices. This is where Qatar’s startup revolution gets its roadmap, not from oil barrels, but from the partnerships forged at events like this. This conference will highlight the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors to build an ecosystem that nurtures startups and accelerates business growth.”
This year’s Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference will introduce an entrepreneur-driven format designed to energize and empower the region’s rising startup community. Key elements include a live pitch competition featuring innovative startups from across the GCC, as well as a series of panel discussions with top industry leaders and senior government officials.

The first panel, titled ‘Fostering Entrepreneurship and Driving Economic Growth in the GCC’, will explore how public and private sector collaboration can strengthen entrepreneurship through supportive policies, access to funding, and business-friendly regulations.
The second panel, ‘Financing the Future: GCC Investment Strategies and Policy Insights’, will focus on regional funding mechanisms, including venture capital, regulatory frameworks, and government backed initiatives that aim to improve financing access and investor confidence across the Gulf.
By showcasing the potential of the GCC’s evolving startup landscape, the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference aims to position the region as a viable alternative to more established global markets. The event will also serve as a networking platform for startups and investors to explore partnerships and identify long-term growth opportunities. As Qatar continues to diversify its economy in line with its 2030 National Vision, initiatives such as this conference play a pivotal role in building a knowledge-based, innovation-led economy.
Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation and supported by Qatar Investment Authority, is the nation’s leading sustainable real estate developer. The return of the Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference reinforces Msheireb Downtown Doha’s growing status as a premier destination for business, dialogue, and innovation in the region.
