The State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman have signed the executive program for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the agricultural, livestock, and fisheries sectors for 2025-2027, on the sidelines of the Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ 2026)

The executive program was signed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipality Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali, and by HE Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar Ammar bin Abdullah Albusaidi on behalf of Oman.

The agreement was signed as part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The program aims to activate the MoU signed between the two countries in Muscat in January 2018, by establishing a practical framework to advance cooperation in agriculture, livestock and fisheries. This will be achieved through joint programs and initiatives, reciprocal visits, and the exchange of technical expertise.

Both sides affirmed that the program represents a significant step toward strengthening agricultural and food integration, enhancing joint coordination, and expanding technical collaboration. They emphasized that it will further support sustainability and food security efforts, boost productivity and innovation, and advance shared economic and development goals in both countries.

AgriteQ 2026

For over a decade, AgriteQ has been Qatar’s leading platform for showcasing advanced agricultural technologies, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable practices under the Ministry of Municipality.

The 13th edition, AgriteQ 2026, will feature cutting-edge solutions across plant production, livestock, fisheries, food processing, and sustainable landscaping, alongside workshops and live demonstrations. The AgriteQ exhibition continues to strengthen global partnerships, support food security, and drive sustainable growth in Qatar’s agricultural sector.
