The Saudi Arabian Minister of Municipalities and Housing, HE Majed Al-Hogail, has inaugurated the International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Organized by the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA), the event runs till 26 August under the theme ‘Facility Intelligence’. The conference brings together over 100 government, private, and international entities, with more than 50 speakers from across the globe.
The Facility Management Conference aims to explore innovative solutions in facility management, a sector that plays a crucial role in the Kingdom’s mega projects.
Minister Al-Hogail emphasized the Kingdom’s leadership in advancing toward a sustainable future, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. He described the event as a new milestone in the country’s development, highlighting its role as a platform for sharing global best practices and discussing solutions for improving facility management, especially in large-scale urban projects.
HE Al-Hogail stated that the facility management sector is considered a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s mega projects. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom places significant emphasis on improving urban infrastructure, boosting operational efficiency, and adopting smart solutions.
The Ministry’s strategy focuses on enhancing the efficiency of municipal facilities and ensuring their sustainability through the implementation of robust regulations and guidelines.
The minister also noted the significant growth of the facility management market in the Kingdom, valued at approximately $48 billion (SAR 180 billion) in 2024, with an expected annual growth rate of over 7 percent through 2030. This growth is largely driven by the expansion of mega projects and the focus on digital transformation, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

He concluded that the Facility Management Conference underscores Saudi Arabia’s ambition to establish itself as a regional and global hub for knowledge and innovation in facility management. In his closing remarks, the Minister acknowledged the efforts of the Saudi Facility Management Association (SFMA) and expressed appreciation for the contributions of event partners and sponsors.
The Facility Management Conference reflects the Kingdom’s strategic focus on enhancing its facility management sector to meet the demands of its growing urban landscape and expanding infrastructure projects.
