Saudi Arabia and China have discussed ways to expand industrial partnership between the two countries and investment opportunities in advanced industrial sectors.
They also reviewed enhancing cooperation in strategic fields, including automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical industries, and chemical industries, as well as opportunities to exchange expertise, transfer technology, and qualify human resources in these areas.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Li Lecheng, during his official visit to China.
The two sides emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector to maximize their role in achieving sustainable development.
The meeting also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantages as an industrial investment hub, focusing on the incentives designed to streamline the investor journey.
It reviewed the Kingdom’s key strategic strengths that position it as an attractive destination for global industrial investments, including its prime geographic location linking three continents, rich natural resources, competitive energy costs, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and well-established industrial cities.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the People’s Republic of China, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, and the CEO of the National Industrial Development Center, Eng. Saleh Al-Solami, and several officials from the Kingdom’s industry and mining system.
The meeting comes as part of the official visit of Minister Alkhorayef to China, which aims to expand strategic cooperation between the two countries in the industry and mining sectors and attract quality investments to the Kingdom.
