Saudi Arabia, Kiribati to enhance cooperation in air transport services

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Kiribati have signed an air transport services agreement during the High-Level Aviation Week held in Singapore.

High-Level Aviation Week, hosted by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), gathered government and industry leaders from around the world to shape the future of aviation industry. It covered various aviation topics such as advanced air mobility, sustainable aviation, aviation safety, human capital development strategies and more.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) board Chairman, and Alexander Teabo, the Minister of Information, Communications, and Transport, representing the Government of the Republic of Kiribati. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of GACA.

The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the field of air transport services and foster bilateral collaboration. The MoU will create regulatory frameworks for air transport between Saudi and Kiribati, based on mutual benefit and respect, in accordance with the laws and regulations in both nations. The agreement highlights both nations’ shared commitment to advancing aviation sector.

This strategic alliance supports the civil aviation sector’s strategy to forge international partnerships and strengthen global relations in the field of civil aviation, thereby enabling national carriers to expand their operational networks. Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, this partnership will cement the Kingdom’s position as a key global logistics hub.
