Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have discussed enhancing the strategic economic partnership and expanding the avenues for industrial cooperation and integration.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, during his official visit to Kuwait, met separately with Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel and Minister of Oil Tareq Sulaiman Al-Roumi.

They also emphasized the importance of supporting trade and joint investments to foster, industrial cooperation, economic growth and diversification in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Further, the talks aimed to identify collaborative opportunities that would bolster bilateral trade, investment, and technological and industrial cooperation, aligning with broader regional development goals.

According to the reports, specific areas of focus included streamlining regulatory frameworks, facilitating joint ventures, and promoting innovation in key sectors such as manufacturing, energy, and logistics. These discussions between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait underscore a shared commitment to strengthening economic ties and achieving sustainable growth through strategic industrial collaboration.

Minister Alkhorayef’s meeting with the minister of commerce and industry highlighted the deep-rooted and robust historical ties between the two countries, which serve as a key foundation for strategic economic partnerships across various sectors, particularly the industrial sector.

The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening industrial cooperation and integration to advance sustainable industrial development and support economic diversification in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The minister’s meetings with the two Kuwaiti ministers were part of his official visit to Kuwait, aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties, supporting industrial integration, and exploring joint investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors.
