Saudi Aramco and Microsoft have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore digital initiatives aimed at advancing artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in the industrial sector, strengthening digital capabilities, and developing the Kingdom’s workforce.

The collaboration enables Saudi Aramco to implement AI-enabled industrial solutions based on Microsoft Azure technologies.

Driving large-scale digital transformation

The partnership will support Saudi Aramco’s large-scale digital transformation, improving operational efficiency, enhancing global competitiveness, and enabling new technology-driven models for industrial systems.

The MoU also emphasizes the development of digital and technical skills across the Kingdom. Programs under the cooperation will target areas such as AI engineering, cybersecurity, data governance, and product management, with measurable outcomes to ensure tangible progress in workforce capabilities.

These efforts are built on Microsoft’s existing national impact, which has already trained thousands of Saudi learners in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data-related programs.
