The first meeting of the General Secretariat of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council was held in Riyadh, marking a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties and fostering closer cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
The meeting was co-chaired by Advisor at the Royal Court and Secretary General of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, and Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport and Secretary General of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir.
At the outset of the meeting, Al-Tuwaijri warmly welcomed Lieutenant General Al-Wazir and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, extending his best wishes for a pleasant and fruitful stay.
At Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council, the two sides engaged in constructive discussions about their shared visions for the long-term strategic relationship between the two nations, exploring various avenues to further strengthen and enhance their ties.
The meeting also thoroughly reviewed and evaluated the joint plans and initiatives in preparation for the upcoming session of the Supreme Coordination Council, which will be co-chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
This session is expected to focus on advancing cooperation and collaboration across key sectors and set the stage for new milestones in the partnership between the two countries, enhancing the upcoming initiatives of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council.
The two sides affirmed their keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in a way that meets the aspirations of the leadership and peoples of both countries and advances relations toward broader horizons. They emphasized that the council serves as the main platform for coordinating efforts across all fields.
