Saudi Media Academy winds up Global Events Management Program

The Saudi Media Academy, under the Ministry of Media, has concluded the Global Events Management Program, an intensive training event on managing major international events, held in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The program was held in partnership with EHL Hospitality Business School, the world’s top-ranked institution in hospitality and event management.

The Global Events Management Program was conducted as part of the Media Leaders Track, an initiative aimed to foster international collaboration and build bridges of cultural and knowledge exchange with leading global academic institutions, aligning with the ministry’s vision to support and empower national talent in the media sector.

Over five days, more than 40 leaders from the public and private sectors took part in the intensive program, totaling 30 training hours. The Global Events Management Program focused on skills in planning, organizing, and executing major events, as well as team leadership and creating effective audience engagement experiences.

The Global Events Management Program included interactive workshops supervised by international experts, in addition to field visits to leading institutions specializing in organizing major events in Switzerland. The participants were able to learn about the latest global practices and acquire advanced expertise in planning, organizing, and creating impactful audience experiences.

The program witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the academy and the university aimed at strengthening international cooperation and building bridges of cultural and knowledge exchange with global academic institutions.

The Global Events Management Program concluded with the distribution of certificates accredited by EHL Hospitality Business School and the Saudi Media Academy, in the presence of Assistant Minister of Media and Chairman of the Saudi Media Academy’s Board of Directors Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, along with other officials.

The Media Leaders Track targeted professionals and creatives from diverse sectors, aiming to enhance effective media presence, improve the organization of national media events and major occasions, and bolster Saudi Arabia’s representation on global platforms, all in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
