The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by General Court of Audit (GCA) President Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Alangari, and Mexico, represented by Superior Auditor of the Federation Auditor-General David Rogelio Colmenares-Páramo, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of accounting, auditing, and professional work.

The signing took place in Mexico City, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to the United Mexican States Fahd bin Ali Al-Manawer. Through the MoU, the two institutions aim to exchange expertise, build professional capacities, and develop professional manuals in financial auditing, compliance auditing, and performance auditing.

This will be achieved through joint workshops and specialized training programs on topics of mutual interest, within the framework of both parties’ membership in the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Dr. Alangari stressed the GCA’s continuous efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and expand partnerships with peer institutions in friendly and brotherly countries through numerous MoUs. He noted that such agreements reflect the distinguished professional standing that GCA enjoys regionally and internationally, as well as its important role in sharing its expertise with member institutions of regional and international organizations of supreme audit institutions.

Colmenares-Páramo highlighted the importance of this MoU in strengthening joint work between the Superior Auditor of the Federation of the United Mexican States and the GCA of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to enhanced performance efficiency and improved audit quality at both institutions.

Saudi Arabia and Mexico further held a bilateral meeting to discuss areas of cooperation and explore ways of coordination on related topics, in the presence of specialists from both institutions.
