The National Water Company (NWC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Western Cluster, has completed the South Jeddah water projects, in a significant milestone to advance water infrastructure and service delivery across the region.
The projects include three major capital initiatives, featuring an extensive network that spans over 250,000 meters, with main transmission lines extending more than 16,500 meters. The total investment in these initiatives amounts to over $40.5 million (SAR 152 million), underscoring the scale and importance of the improvements to the region’s water infrastructure.
The NWC initiatives included water networks and main transmission lines serving Al-Qurainiyah and Al-Khomrah districts. The initiatives aim to enhance the operational efficiency of the water sector, improve infrastructure services in the governorate, and provide connections to over 322,000 people.
These projects are an extension of previous water service improvements in southern Jeddah, including those in the Al-Ajwaid East and West, Prince Fawaz Housing, Al-Alfiyah 1 and 2, Al-Huda, Al-Faisal, and Al-Fadhila districts. They comprise water networks, main transmission lines, and the construction of a 95,000-cubic-meter-per-day pumping station to support operations and enhance water service efficiency.
NWC accepts service requests
The company has began accepting service requests from residents of Al-Qurainiyah and Al-Khomrah. Requests can be submitted online via electronic branches while inquiries can be directed to the unified customer service number available on the website, or through NWC’s digital channels. To ensure smooth processing, the company stresses the importance of including all necessary documents and information when submitting requests.
NWC has confirmed that these projects will contribute to water conservation and expand coverage in previously unserved districts as part of its key plan to boost infrastructure, promote sustainability, and improve life quality, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
