Saudi Arabia’s Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami has inaugurated a new set of digital services offered by Public Security via Absher platform, handled by the Ministry of Interior.
The launch of the updated services had took place during the ‘Digital Transformation Forum: Technology and the Future’ held at the Public Security headquarters in Riyadh, under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.
Among the updates, the introduction of new e-services on the ‘Absher Individuals’ platform has also been included, such as the vehicle ownership transfer service to establishments and services related to air guns, including ownership transfer and license renewal.
The newly launched services on the ‘Absher Business’ platform included the accident report service and services related to rock cutting, such as the cancellation of rock cutting material use permits, cancellation of rock disposal and transport permits, and the addition of new materials to usage permits.
The revised services were introduced as part of the Ministry of Interior’s broader strategy to drive digital transformation and enhance overall service delivery. One of the key objectives of these reforms is to reduce the need for individuals to physically visit security sector offices, thereby enhancing convenience and accessibility, through the implementation of digital platforms and smart solutions.
These additions reflect a continued commitment to expanding the functionality of the Absher platform, making it a comprehensive and accessible tool for handling a wide range of governmental and security-related procedures. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for all citizens, residents, and visitors.
