The Saudi Water Authority has unveiled the new corporate identity of the Saudi Water Partnership Company, rebranded as ‘Sharakat,’ during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture headquarters in Riyadh.
The launch was held under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and attended by senior government officials, sector leaders, and private-sector executives.
Milestone in corporate evolution
The rebranding marks a significant step in the company’s development since its establishment in 2003. A transformative phase followed in 2017, when the company assumed its role as the Kingdom’s principal water off-taker, covering desalination, transmission, and treatment projects, in addition to small-scale plants, collection networks, and strategic reservoirs.
This expansion strengthened the company’s mandate within the national water ecosystem and reinforced its role as a key enabler of private-sector participation and long-term strategic partnerships.

Speaking at the ceremony, Saudi Water Authority President Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkareem said that the new identity reflects the continued evolution of the company and its growing contribution to the Kingdom’s water infrastructure development.
Sharakat Chief Executive Officer Eng. Khaled Z. AlQureshi noted that the updated corporate identity aligns with the company’s refreshed strategy, emphasizing sustainability, national values, and the strengthening of public-private partnerships. He added that the new brand underscores the company’s central role in integrating public and private sector efforts within the water ecosystem.
Supporting National Water Strategy
Sharakat currently oversees water infrastructure projects with a total investment value exceeding $14.9 billion (SAR56 billion), fully financed by private entities. Contracted capacities surpass 10 million cubic meters per day of desalinated water and more than 1 million cubic meters per day of treated water.
These projects support the sustainability of water resources, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to broader economic development objectives.
