The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), to enhance the Hajj experience through cutting-edge technology.

This collaboration, announced on the sidelines of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 2025, focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create innovative digital solutions that will enhance the services provided to pilgrims.

The partnership is designed to streamline the pilgrimage process and elevate the quality of service by leveraging AI-driven technologies. The MoU outlines plans for joint efforts in developing smarter, more efficient systems, thereby improving the overall pilgrim experience. One of the key components of this collaboration is to foster a deeper understanding of data and AI applications within the Ministry.

The two organizations will work together to conduct a series of workshops and training programs for Ministry staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge to utilize these advanced technologies effectively.

Furthermore, this collaboration will aim to strengthen the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s engagement with national data platforms. By enhancing its capabilities in data management and AI integration, the ministry will be better positioned to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goals, particularly in the areas of digital transformation and national innovation.

This initiative marks an important step in the Kingdom’s commitment to modernizing the pilgrimage experience through technology, ensuring a seamless and enriching journey for millions of pilgrims in the years to come.
