The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) of Bahrain has signed an agreement with the international company “Aetosky” to implement the second phase of a system that detects changes and building violations using AI.

Basim bin Yacob Al Hamer, President of the SLRB, said that this system is one of the key projects supporting the expansion of digital systems and improving coordination between government agencies.

AI technology helps make processes more efficient, improves data accuracy, speeds up decision-making, and raises the quality of services provided to the public. This is in line with the Government Program (2023 – 2026), particularly in areas related to government performance and digital transformation.

Al Hamer added that this phase aims to transfer and localize AI technology within the Bureau and to build local skills to run and develop the system internally. This will help provide sustainable and high-quality government services that meet the needs of the public and improve the Bureau’s digital readiness. The project uses satellite images to detect both natural and urban changes across different parts of the Kingdom.

He also noted that this system builds on the success of the first phase, which was launched in coordination with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. The first phase led to promising results, including a more than 60 percent improvement in monitoring efficiency. This success motivated the launch of the second phase, which will expand the use of the system to other government agencies. This will help improve government performance, strengthen spatial data, and bring advanced technology and government services closer together.

Abhay Swarup Mittal, CEO of Aetosky, stated that this agreement is a great example of cooperation between the public and private sectors in digital transformation.

Mittal emphasized that the agreement focuses on knowledge transfer and building national capabilities. The Bureau will receive a smart platform using the latest AI technologies that can detect changes with high accuracy and produce reports to help government decision-makers improve services and support digital transformation goals.

This partnership reflects the Bureau’s commitment to working with the private sector to improve government performance and create stronger cooperation among all concerned agencies to meet national goals.
